After 3 years of recording, in the pursuit to create an EP that represents who I am as a musician, I proudly present.... Human Glitches & Tragedies - EP.
Going into the recording process of this EP, I really didn't even know what I wanted it to be. I just knew that I needed to get some things off my chest, both musically, and mentally. I didn't really have a plan, genre-wise, and I never liked to box myself into genres anyways. So, I just started to record some songs, and waited to see where it took me.
Little did I know that this would take me down a 3 year path. This path consisted of recording and coming up with different EP names, (It probably switched a half a dozen times). Re-writing old songs and coming up with new ones, (The entire track list is completely different from the one I had in the beginning). & creatively trying to come up with my own ideas of what I wanted, in terms of artistry.
If I'm completely honest, these tracks sort of mirror a lot of the types of music that I listen to. But, I think it's important for me, as a young musician, to be able to find my own sound through other influences. In other words, art is shared. There's nothing new without something old. So, what you hear is very influenced by what I, as an individual, listen to. And I believe this to be a very important part in becoming a better, more mature musician.
So, that's the long story short. This EP is purely for the purpose of enjoyment, so please let me know if you like it. And if you don't like it, let me know!
